Update on Karim Benzema’s injury

The Ballon d’Or winner is believed to be struggling with muscular fatigue. He has already miss several weeks of action this season.

This season has been stop-start for Benzema and as he turns 35 in December, his playing time will need to managed closely by the fitness team at Real Madrid.

Carlo Ancelotti said:

“He won’t be fit for Tuesday, but I think he’ll make Sunday’s game. I’m not worried about him because it’s a very minor issue he picked up yesterday. It’s true that he hasn’t had a decent run, but when he is fit and motivated, he remains a very important player for us, although we’ve got such strength in depth that we’ve been able to cover the absence of such an important player. That doesn’t mean to say that Karim won’t be important in the second half of the season.”

We predict he is 23 days into a 28 optimal recovery period and with a IRC of 11.48 the risk of reinjury is small. He has a healthy HPF of 87.51 and 10 health score – we predict him to be involved over the weekend.
