Jonny Evans could return against Chelsea

Jonny Evans could return to the Leicester City squad for the first time since the November against Chelsea this weekend.

Evans has not played a Premier League game since October, suffering a calf injury followed by a thigh strain.

He has completed a full week of training and could be back in the squad to face Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Having had no game time since his injury comeback, it’s unlikely he will go straight into the starting line-up.

Brendan Rogers said, “Jonny Evans has trained all week so, all being well, he should come into the squad for the weekend, which is good news for us.”

The Inside Injuries algorithm is giving Jonny Evans an overall Health Score of 7/10, and probably isn’t ready to start with a HPF of 79.87% and a IRC of 24.65%. There is a risk of re-injury if he is introduced too fast and starting from the bench may be the best option.
